Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 18 August 2026
We want Minima Social to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they rely on.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is part of how each feature is built, not a later addition. In practice that means:
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Support for screen readers through semantic markup, landmarks, and descriptive labels.
- Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios in both light and dark themes.
- A skip link to jump straight to the main content.
Where we fall short
- By default, images are not required to carry descriptive alternative text, though users have the option to customize the caption for their images.
- An account setting allows users to the option to require themselves to submit unique descriptive alternative text on every image they upload.
- The intended future state of the platform is to have an AI-assisted descriptive text generator as the default with an opt-out option for users.
Feedback
Accessibility is never finished. If you hit a barrier or something is hard to use with assistive technology, please tell us at accessibility@minimasocial.com so we can fix it.
